Listvyanka

After three nights on the train, we're excited to arrive in Irkutsk. After a walk across this surprisingly large, noisy and dirty city, we're equally excited to leave, headed for the nearby town of Listvyanka.

We spend a day hiking around the shore of the lake, following the tracks of the original Trans Siberian railway. The restored buildings at the open air Museum of Wooden architecture gives us a new respect for the native people and first settlers who endured Siberian winters here.
